BAK: Revealing the City through Memory is a cultural collaboration and artistic production project realized with the participation of young people from different cities of Turkey. BAK 2015 , following the first phase realized in 2013 with the participation of 24 young people from 4 different cities, extended its geographical outreach by opening its call to 10 cities and accepted applications of young people from Aydın, Balıkesir, Batman, Çanakkale, Diyarbakır, İzmir, Mardin, Muğla, Şırnak and Urfa.

The aim of BAK is for young people from cities and regions that are distant from each other to get to know each other and the different areas they live in; and it enables young people to work together to record the stories of these cities in film and photography projects.
Workshop programs within the project will be designed and organized in collaboration with Geniş Açı Project Office (GAPO) and docİstanbul – Center for Documentary Studies.
The BAK project was funded in part with the support of the Charles Stewart Mott Foundation, the Open Society Foundation and the Consulate General of Sweden.
