DAC will function as a civil initiative in association with other institutions, which have similar goals and objectives. DAC will be open to all suggestions on participation, innovative and creative ideas during operation, production and exhibition of the projects in terms of cultural development.

| Anadolu Kültür |
The objective of Anadolu Kültür is to produce and perform the cultural and artistic activities in cities other than Istanbul and Ankara. Anadolu Kültür has been established with the participation of individuals and institutions from various disciplines of art. Anadolu Kültür aims also to develop projects in other regions of Anatolia and take part in already on-going art projects.

| Multi-disciplinary Cultural and Art Projects |
Multidisciplinary cultural and art projects with the participation of the artists from different cities will be implemented. DAC will carry out seminars and workshops in various fields of art as well.

| The Voice of Diyarbakır |
DAC has a mission to promote the works produced by local artists and thinkers whose voices have not been heard over the recent decades. DAC will provide artworks already done and exhibited in Istanbul or elsewhere as well. We believe that the people of Diyarbakır have plenty to share with those outside of the city after so many years of accumulated pain, experience and lifestyles of their own.

| Rich Historical and Cultural Heritage |
Diyarbakır is a city having rich historical and cultural heritage with approximately one million of population. Despite the keen interest and increasing demand, cultural and art activities has not been satisfactory. DAC aims to contribute in reviving the cultural and art environment of the city in order to fill this void.

| Meeting Point |
Diyarbakir Arts Centre (DAC) was established between two cities; Diyarbakır, the “west of the east”, and İstanbul, the “east of the west”. The centre aims to bring the people, artists and creative energies of these two cities together for collaboration on artistic and cultural production.
